Families, victims, former workers and community members gathered Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, to remember the dead and honor the work of first responders from the day in 1971 when a horrific explosion wrecked the Thiokol Plant-Woodbine.

Twenty-nine died from that blast. The plant workers made trip wires for the U.S. Army soldiers in the Vietnam War.
