In the waning hours of the Biden Administration and in chilly but sunny weather, a sparse crowd of people turned out Monday for Liberty County’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Day Parade in Hinesville.

Rev. Henry Frasier, Sr., who carries a trove of local historical knowledge and who was a founder of the parade, served as grand marshal.

Numerous local groups, historically Black sororities and fraternities, local schools, and churches took part, along with troops from Fort Stewart’s 3rd Infantry Division.
