Welcome aboard! This is a list of public meetings and agendas to help you follow the work of officials you’ve elected.

This Thursday, Savannah’s city council is scheduled to decide whether to cede substantial control of Forsyth Park to a new private charity.

The Savannah alderman who represents the area said he was blindsided in August by a proposed city memorandum of understanding with Friends of Forsyth Conservancy, Inc.  District 2 Alderman Detric Leggett asked for a delay in part because the document was not precise about what exactly the nonprofit might change about the beloved public park. 

Council hit pause on the discussion last month and tentatively rescheduled it for their regular meeting on Sept. 12 at 2:00 p.m.

Elsewhere in Coastal Georgia, we are tracking meetings and agendas for about 50 local government agencies.  As always, if there is a public entity you’d like to see, let us know. We’ll try to add it. 

This list of meetings over the next two weeks depends on what local governments offer on the internet. Some publish timely agendas and stream online. Some do not.
