Find your public meetings, agendas
September 8, 2025
Welcome aboard! This is a list of public meetings and agendas to help you follow the work of officials you’ve elected.
Georgia legislature study sessions
Members of Georgia’s state legislature are meeting in study committees now that give clues to what they’ll attempt when the full session begins in January.
Upcoming hearing topics include pulp and paper mill closures, child welfare and homeowners’ associations. Most meetings are in Atlanta but are broadcast online.
The state legislature hasn’t set the same transparency laws for itself as it has for cities, counties and school boards. You can go to legislative committee meetings, but detailed agendas are optional and the public doesn’t have the right to a copy of documents, presentations or memos submitted by private lobbyists to legislators. Legislative committees can choose to hand out documents or post online but most don’t do so.
We’ve added those legislative study meetings to this calendar; keep scrolling, they’re under “Multi-county.”

This list starts with an automated collection that does not involve AI. It is checked and edited by a human. But agencies may announce new meetings, change meeting times or cancel them, sometimes without any online notice. Some publish calendars in more than one place with different information. Some rely on Facebook posts which may require a login to read and cannot be collected automatically.
You may want to call ahead and verify the meeting time and place, especially for smaller agencies.
