The Current GA and WSAV News 3 have launched The Conversation, a new digital program that takes The Current’s investigative and in-depth reporting beyond the written story and gives audiences a chance to hear directly from the journalists behind the work.
The first episode premiered Tuesday, Sept. 1, on WSAV+, WSAV’s free 24/7 streaming platform.

- The Conversation will have its own show page on WSAV+, where viewers can watch the latest program and catch up on past episodes.

- Sept. 1, 2026: Kratom: Derived from a tree native to Southeast Asia, kratom products are sold widely across Georgia as tablets, powders, drinks and concentrated extracts. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved kratom for human consumption, yet supporters of the $1 billion industry tout such products as a natural alternative for pain relief or opioid recovery.
