The Port of Savannah experienced an 8.4% decrease in container units handled in October, though traffic is still up 4% for the year, while the Port of Brunswick saw a 5.4% increase in auto and heavy equipment shipments, as the Georgia Ports Authority prepares to open its $127 million rail facility next spring.
