🍂 Fall Fest: One for The Road Savannah is hosting its 3rd annual Fall Fest from noon- 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. Come out to the Starland District for all things fall from pumpkin carving to bobbing for apples and even open pools in case of a haunt South Georgia autumn day. Shop local vendors and enjoy live music at 101 W 41st St. More info @onefortheroad.sav on Instagram.
🍺 Oktoberfest: If you missed the last one, don’t fret. Oktoberfest is still around at Plant Riverside with Bavarian-style pretzels, bratwurst and seasonal beers. While you enjoy your treats get ready for a show with live music and games like pretzel fishing, strudel stroll, keg bowling and stein holding. This is a two-weekend even with this weekend’s dates on Saturday and Sunday Oct. 3-4 from noon to 6:03 p.m. at 400 W. River St. More info here.
👻 Horror Films: Get ready for the spooky side of fall with this LGBTQ+ Horror Film Festival in Statesboro starting Friday Oct. 2 from 6-9 p.m. featuring LGBTQ+ creators, with free screenings and donations supporting Statesboro Pride. The first film this weekend is Nightmare on Elm Street 2 at 6762 Cypress Lake Road, Statesboro. See future screening dates and more info here.

📸 Galleries Galore: Photography takes over Starland on Friday for Savannah Loves Photo, with four galleries opening new shows from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 2. Start at the Savannah Center for Photography, 2205 Price St., where Mark Cáceres’ gelatin silver prints explore injury, resilience and intimacy. Then walk over to Cleo the Project Space, 2424 Drayton St., for “P.S. or Postscriptum.” Info here.
🕯️ By Candlelight: See Fort McAllister by lantern light on the 47th annual Candle Lantern Tour, with living-history camp scenes along the way. 6:30-9:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at Fort McAllister State Park, Richmond Hill. 🐶 Pup Portraits: Shelter dogs sit for their portraits in Stephanie Forbes’ “Lonely Hearts,” and when a dog gets adopted, its painting goes home with it. Meet the pups from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7 at Starland Yard, 2411 De Soto Ave., Savannah. Info here.

🏛️ Town Hall: A Brunswick town hall will be held on Oct. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Marshes of Glynn Libraries, 208 Gloucester Street, Brunswick, in Conference Room A. Representatives from Logistec, BWC Terminals, the Georgia Ports Authority, the GA Environmental Protection Division, the GA Department of Transportation, the GA Department of Public Safety, and others will attend to answer residents’ questions.
🗳️ County Survey: A random sample of households across Glynn County will receive the survey by mail in early October, with some expected to receive it as early as Friday, Oct. 2. The survey asks residents about county services, community priorities, quality of life, and issues that will be important to Glynn County in the years ahead. The survey is administered and analyzed by ETC Institute, an independent research firm. Residents who do not receive a survey by mail can still participate. The community survey is available to all Glynn County residents here.
✍️ Resilience Training: Registration is now open for the upcoming Community Resilience Model (CRM) Training, hosted by Family Connection of Glynn County and Resilient Communities of Marshland, Georgia. It will be held on Oct. 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Marshes of Glynn Libraries. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

🥧 Pumpkins, pies and plants: Fall gets an official start in Richmond Hill Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon with the Annual Pumpkin Patch at J.F. Gregory Park. Pick up pumpkins and mums, let the kids hit the games and face painting, and don’t miss the bake sale with whole cakes and pies. New this year: house plants, too. More info here.
🐕 Downward dog, with your dog: Bring your pup and your yoga mat for a yoga class on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 10-11 a.m. in Savannah benefiting One Love Animal Rescue.
