Welcome aboard! This is a list of public meetings and agendas to help you follow the work of officials you’ve elected.
Resolve to subscribe to a community newsletter
After folks ask for your vote or local governments collect your taxes, they may publish an email newsletter to show their work. Resolve to find one of these community newsletters this year.
The latest edition of Brunswick’s newsletter, for example, introduces the new assistant police chief, denounces illegal dumping, announces job openings and shows how to book Brunswick Breeze transit.
Go to your local government’s website and search for words like “newsletter” and “subscribe” to see what they might offer. It’s OK to call a clerk to ask for help.
Your mayor, council member, county commissioner or school board member might offer a newsletter signup via their website. Find your officials on the Georgia My Voter Page, then search for them online or on social media. Or just call or email their offices and ask about a newsletter.
