Welcome aboard! This is a list of public meetings and agendas to help you follow the work of officials you’ve elected.

Police spending on the agenda

It’s possible to get a look at the sometimes controversial and expensive tools used by city and county law enforcement by reading public meeting records.

Glynn County has spent about $830,000 in federal dollars to install roadside cameras that can snap pictures of every passing license plate and share that information with law enforcement agencies throughout the country. The Current GA’s Jabari Gibbs reports that critics say the risk of abusive surveillance outweighs the network’s public safety value.

The camera contract with Flock appeared on a 2024 Glynn County Commission agenda.  If your city or county publishes detailed public meeting agendas and documents, you too can scroll to see how your public agencies propose spending public dollars.

Some publish calendars in more than one place with different information.  Some rely on Facebook posts which may require a login to read and cannot be collected automatically.
