Musical lunch: The Coastal Symphony of Georgia will host a free public concert at noon, Monday, Jan. 19, at Selden Park, Brunswick.  This concert is part of the after-parade festivities and offered in collaboration with the MLK parade organizers.  It will feature music by African American composers and other tunes for all ages.

Missing voices: The Liberty County Board of Commissioners kicked off 2026 by asserting it need not allow a public comment period during meetings. County Attorney Kelly Davis said state law does not require one and that citizens can submit comments via email, mail, or other means. The law also does not prohibit a public comment period.
